After the internet was full of Jason Momoa and his divorce with Lisa Bonet, it seems like the focus has now shifted to the actor's new travel show 'On The Roam.'Â
In the upcoming MAX series, the 'Aquaman' star is seen going around the country and meeting various artists whose works he admires the most. With this show, he is attempting to step a foot in their creative realms. He tells PEOPLE, "It바카라™s me on the road and all the things that I love to do. And all the things I바카라™ve never done in my life that I've wanted to do."
For instance, the avid motorcycle enthusiast travels to North Carolina to rebuild and restore vintage bikes along with some renowned experts in the world. Subsequently, he takes these bikes out on a deadly dirt track with his own crew, dubbed "the Roamers." He acquires a custom-made pastel pink bike inspired by an antique model out of this adventure. While some might choose to keep a collector's item and hide it from the world, Momoa says, "I rode it yesterday. I바카라™m gonna be riding it tomorrow out with my friends. It looks good, doesn't it?"
In another instance, after his meet and greet with legendary Guns N' Roses' guitarist Slash, he took a trip to Gibson guitars' headquarters in Tennessee, to lend his hand to make some rare instruments.Â
The series doesn't have a set script; it reflects the true travel style of . "Each episode just evolves into its own thing. Some of them turn into therapy sessions," he shares, adding, "That바카라™s the beauty of it. It바카라™s very intimate and obviously, for me, it바카라™s very revealing."
When asked what is it about the show that took him by surprise, he says, "How much heart바카라™s in it. I watched it with my children." He continued, "There바카라™s just a lot of moments of heart that you didn바카라™t see at the very beginning. I knew if I was gonna do it, it was gonna be serious, but it바카라™s gonna have the fun and the action and it바카라™s gonna have the giggles. So I바카라™m really happy that there바카라™s moments of tenderness, which is who I am."
The 'Game of Thrones' star expresses his views on the series. He jokingly says, "You바카라™re either gonna be annoyed by me or you바카라™re gonna love it." However, he only hopes that the series instills some amount of curiousity among viewers. "I hope that [it] inspires you to maybe open up some of those things that you put away in your own life... And then at the same time, hopefully you can just laugh at me being a goofball and actually who I really am."
'On the Roam' will be available to stream on MAX on January 18.
