Twinkle Khanna, the daughter of veteran actress Dimple Kapadia and late actor Rajesh Khanna was raised by her mother after her parents were separated. Dimple was very protective of her daughter. In a recent chat on Tweak India, Twinkle recalled her mother asking her and Akshay Kumar to stay together for two years before getting married.
On the show, Masaba Gupta shared that her mother Neena Gupta did not allow her to be in a live-in relationship with her ex-husband. To which Twinkle said that her mother did the exact opposite. She said, 바카라When my husband said he wants to marry me, my mother said, 바카라Nothing doing, you live together for two years. If you make it, then you get married.'바카라
Recalling what Dimple told her, Twinkle said, 바카라She said, 바카라I have been married. I바카라ve seen what it바카라s like.''' Twinkle also said that she often wonders how her life would have turned out if she had grown up in a house where her mom and dad stayed together. 바카라I feel that maybe if my parents were together, would I really want to constantly keep working, doing something? The 'Mela' actress also opened up on growing up with a single parent as she said, 바카라I was raised largely by my mother. I would tell you that for the longest time I didn바카라t know that patriarchy and the patriarchal system existed because I wasn바카라t in the system.''
Twinkle and Akshay tied the knot in 2001 and they have two children, Aarav and Nitara.
