The police have registered two FIRs against Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and over 100 party workers for organising the 'Shiksha, Nyay Samvad', an alleged unauthorised public meeting without permission at the Ambedkar Kalyan hostel in Darbhanga.

Responding to FIRs Rahul Gandhi said, "These are all medals for me. There are 30-32 cases against me."

What did Rahul Gandhi say?

Rahul Gandhi addressed students at the Ambedkar hostel of Mithila University even though he was reportedly denied permission to hold the event.

"Is communicating with Dalit, deprived and backward class students against the Constitution? Is it a sin to talk to them about their education, their recruitment exams and jobs," asked Kharge in a post on X.

"It is the height of dictatorship that the JDU-BJP government prevented Rahul Gandhi from attending the 'Shiksha Nyay Samvad' program at the Ambedkar Hostel in Darbhanga, Bihar," he said in a post on X in Hindi.

Later, Rahul Gandhi claimed that authorities initially had no objection.

"Earlier, they had no objection, but suddenly they tried to stop us. But that바카라™s fine, we went ahead and did what we came to do. I spoke about the need for a caste census and called for breaking the 50% reservation cap in private universities and colleges. These are our demands, and we will see them through," he said.

Rahul Gandhi, in a video shared on his social media account, was seen telling the officials, You do your job; I바카라™ll do mine. Go ahead, stop me if you wish.

FIRs against Rahul Gandhi

The district administration had earlier refused permission for the event and proposed another venue instead. The Congress rejected this suggestion, leading to a deadlock.

As per the reports, despite objections from the administration and security personnel, Gandhi entered the hostel premises through a different route and addressed the students.

The Darbhanga district administration said, "The first FIR has been registered based on a complaint filed at Laheriasarai police station by the District Welfare Officer (holding magisterial powers). It states that no permission was granted for the programme at Ambedkar Hostel, yet it was conducted in violation of prohibitory orders."
