What strategies do you employ to retain users and keep them engaged?

At Dream11, our primary goal is to deliver the best user experience and keep sports fans actively engaged with our application. We create an environment where users바카라™ passion for sports is both ignited and nurtured. Understanding our users바카라™ needs deeply is crucial to this. We continuously innovate and enhance engagement solutions by placing the user at the forefront. Our robust feedback mechanism allows us to track evolving user preferences, and data drives all our decisions. We run multiple parallel experiments to assess new features or customisations, conducted by our product and tech teams using the in-house DRS (Data-Driven Review System). In the simplest sense, this involves constantly listening to our user바카라™s needs and preferences while staying true to our strategic goals. We prioritise actionable feedback that aligns with our vision, ensuring our product evolves in a way that enhances user experience without compromising our core objectives. Additionally, our systems are designed not only to meet current challenges but also to anticipate future trends. This forward-thinking approach ensures our ability to seamlessly integrate new technologies, adapt to evolving business processes, and respond to dynamic market conditions without disruptive overhauls.

Is it true that analytics can make or break a tech product today?

Analytics are critical to the success of a technology product. Without it, product development becomes a rudimentary process of implementing ideas without taking into account consumer expectations. For products with a large user base, such as fantasy sports, funnel analytics are vital. This approach calculates conversion rates depending on specific user actions, such as sales or registrations. Integrating this analytical approach into product strategy is critical, with a focus on individual characteristics throughout development to maximise outcomes. In fantasy sports, assessing user preferences enables the creation of personalised sites and the enhancement of customisation with elements such as pre-selected matches, team marketplaces, contest bundles, missions, awards, and social gaming.

What are some of the new and disruptive tech that are changing the product development game in the realm of sports technology?

Today, the fusion of technology and player preferences is reshaping gaming into a more immersive, accessible, and social experience. Cloud gaming is revolutionising the industry by eliminating the need for high-end hardware, thus broadening access and allowing a diverse audience to enjoy gaming. With the user base projected to approach half a billion by 2027, cloud gaming offers developers significant opportunities to reach new markets. Additionally, virtual reality (VR) immerses players in hyper-realistic worlds, while augmented reality (AR) merges gaming with real life, offering new possibilities for storytelling and gameplay. For online gaming, AI personalisation is set to enhance inclusivity and cater to varied preferences.

How do you foresee user behaviour evolving in the next half-decade, and how are you preparing for it?

Sports engagement is only going to get more personalised and immersive soon. Short-form content, live interactions, and interactive gaming elements will grow in demand, with augmented and virtual reality blurring the lines between the physical and digital sports worlds.

Is there a need to keep taking feedback from users and pivoting or a strategy once formulated will be executed as is?

Building and scaling a new product involves substantial experimentation and learning from feedback. While a well-formulated strategy is essential, remaining responsive to user needs and continuously innovating helps keep the product relevant and engaging. Product managers should embrace experimentation rather than striving for perfection from the outset. By treating each phase as an experiment, they can learn from failures and refine the product. This approach allows developers to test hypotheses and ensure new features and customisations meet their goals. Constant iteration and adaptation are crucial for a product to effectively scale and serve its audience.

What changes in user behaviour have you noticed on your app?

Dream11 has seen a notable ~80% year-on-year increase in female users on our platform. Interestingly, Tier 3 and Tier 4 cities contribute 72% of our user base, with a core demographic over the age of 25. In terms of engagement, our users created an astonishing 1 billion fantasy sports teams this past year, reflecting a surge in our user activity and deeper engagement with our core features.

What features work very well for Dream11?

At Dream11, the features that enhance user gameplay and overall experience are our top performers. Many of the features introduced when Dream11 was founded in 2008, initially seen as complex due to the nascent understanding of fantasy sports, have now become integral to the user experience. On Dream11, users can watch live matches while playing, receive real-time commentary on team performance, and access personalised leaderboards, team comparisons, and detailed analysis. Our rewards program is also among the best in the market. Offering a wide range of sports, from football to kabaddi and handball, Dream11 allows users to play with friends, track their performance, and issue challenges.
