After nearly three months of relentless bombardment by Israel, Gaza lies devastated, with 70 per cent of its homes reduced to ruins, as reported by the Government Media Office. 

The number of Palestinians in Gaza killed since the outbreak of war is now 22,185, and at least 57, 000 have been injured.

The war goes on and here is how things stand on day 89:

1. The Israeli army has launched attacks on Syria and Lebanon. A drone strike hit a Hamas office in Beirut바카라™s Hezbollah stronghold Dahiyeh, killing six people including senior Hamas official Saleh al-Arouri on Tuesday, Lebanon바카라™s state news agency reported.

Lebanon바카라™s Hezbollah said that al-Arouri바카라™s killing 바카라świll not go unpunished바카라ť and claimed a strike on a group of soldiers in Israeli territory.

2. The UN Humanitarian Affairs Agency OCHA reported further demolitions of Palestinian structures, with the latest incident occurring in the At-Tur neighbourhood in occupied East Jerusalem.

3. US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller has rejected statements from Israeli ministers Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben-Gvir about the resettlement of Palestinians outside of Gaza. 

바카라śGaza is Palestinian land and will remain Palestinian land,바카라ť said a statement published on Tuesday.

4. Gaza team leader of the UN humanitarian agency OCHA, Gemma Connell, condemned the Israeli attack on the Red Crescent-run El Amal City Hospital in Khan Younis. The attack resulted in at least five casualties, including a five-day-old child.

바카라śThere is no safe space in Gaza, and the world should be ashamed,바카라ť she said.

5. Malaysia has endorsed South Africa바카라™s appeal to the International Court of Justice against Israel. South Africa has opened a case against Israel at the UN's International Court of Justice (ICJ), accusing Israel of genocide. The court hearings are scheduled for January 11 and 12 at The Hague.

6. The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) posted on X that on Wednesday, 바카라śIranian-backed Houthis fired two anti-ship ballistic missiles from Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen into the Southern Red Sea바카라ť.
