Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a key review meeting on airport and border security, bringing together the Directors General of the Border Security Force (BSF) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), along with the Intelligence Bureau Chief.

The meeting comes shortly after Defence Minister Rajnath Singh led a separate strategic session with the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) and the heads of the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Officials said to PTI that the meetings are part of coordinated efforts to bolster operational readiness and enhance inter-agency coordination in light of emerging threats.

Nationwide Alert After Drone And Missile Threats

The alert status across several Indian cities was raised following what the Ministry of Defence described as thwarted attempts by Pakistan바카라s military to target Indian defence infrastructure. The ministry said the planned strikes바카라using drones and missiles바카라were aimed at military installations in at least 15 locations, including Jammu, Pathankot, Udhampur, Srinagar, Amritsar, Chandigarh, and Bhuj.

Security agencies have responded with enhanced surveillance and deployment at sensitive sites across northern and western India.

Infiltration Foiled Along J&K Border

Adding to the tension, the BSF reported on Thursday that it had successfully foiled a major infiltration attempt along the India-Pakistan International Border in Jammu and Kashmir바카라s Samba district. According to a report by news agency PTI, the incident occurred around 11 p.m. on Thursday night when BSF surveillance detected a 바카라big group바카라 of armed militants attempting to cross the border.

In the ensuing encounter, at least seven terrorists were killed, and a Pakistan Rangers post was destroyed. The infiltration bid was reportedly backed by heavy gunfire from across the border.

"This infiltration bid was supported by fire from Pakistan Rangers post Dhandhar," a BSF spokesperson told PTI.

The government has yet to release an official statement on the recent incidents but emphasized that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure national security.
