External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Thursday claimed the relation between India and Russia to be amongst the steadiest ones in the world since the second World War.
He also added that New Delhi was very keen to hosting President Vladimir Putin in the country for the annual bilateral summit.
Jaishankar, delivering a speech on India-Russia ties in a changing world at the Primakov Institute of World Economy and International Relations here, said that this relationship is sometimes taken for granted.
바카라The case for its constant nurturing바카라 is powerful, he said.
바카라There바카라s no doubt that relations between India and Russia have been among the steadiest of the major relationships in the world after the second World War,바카라 he said.
Russians will surely recall the ups and downs in the ties with the US, Europe, China or Japan or Turkey and Iraq, the minister said.
바카라On their part, objective Indians would also recognise that this was the case with them as well.
바카라Where India-Russia bilateral ties are concerned, there have been many changes, even issues from time to time. But at the end of the day, the logic of geo-politics was so compelling that we barely remember these even as minor aberrations,바카라 Jaishankar said.
The undeniable reality of the exceptional resilience of India-Russia ties is surely a phenomenon that is worth analysing, he said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin have met 19 times since 2014, Jaishankar said.
바카라That itself speaks a lot,바카라 he said.
바카라We, of course, look forward to hosting the President (Putin) in India for the annual bilateral summit,바카라 Jaishankar added.
