India has officially overtaken Japan to become the world바카라s fourth largest economy, NITI Aayog CEO BVR Subrahmanyam announced on Saturday, citing data from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Speaking to reporters following the 10th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog, Subrahmanyam said India바카라s economy has reached the $4 trillion mark, placing it behind only the United States, China, and Germany, PTI reported.

Subrahmanyam described the current global geopolitical and economic climate as favorable for India바카라s continued growth, pointing to strong macroeconomic fundamentals and ongoing reforms as key drivers.
When asked about former US President Donald Trump바카라s recent remarks urging Apple to manufacture iPhones within the United States instead of countries like India, Subrahmanyam downplayed concerns. 바카라What the tariff will be is uncertain. But given the dynamics, we will remain a competitive and cheap place to manufacture,바카라 he said.
The NITI Aayog chief also revealed that the government is preparing a second phase of its asset monetisation pipeline, with a formal announcement expected in August. The initiative is part of broader efforts to boost infrastructure investment and economic efficiency.
