Delhi: Women To Get Rs 2,500 Every Month As Cabinet Approves Fund For Welfare Scheme On Women's Day

On International Women's Day (IWD), Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said a committee, headed by her, has been formed in a bid to implement the women's welfare scheme Mahila Samriddhi Yojana in the national capital. The scheme will provide monthly financial assistance of rupees 2,500 to each of the poor women.

Besides Gupta, several senior ministers including Ashish Sood, Parvesh Verma, and Kapil Mishra will also be part of the committee.

Promoting the scheme was a key part of the BJP's election campaign in the national capital this year before the assembly polls that took place in February.

BJP promised rupees 2,500 while the then-ruling Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) offered rupees 2,100 per month.

Karnataka: Two Women Including Israeli Tourist Raped Near Hampi, Missing Male Tourist From Odisha Found Dead

Two women, including a 27-year-old Israeli tourist, were allegedly gang-raped while stargazing on the banks of Sanapur Lake near Hampi, while a male tourist who was with them was found dead.

As per the reports, a male tourist was reported missing after the attackers pushed him into the Tungabhadra River canal on Thursday night.

"The incident occurred around 11 pm on Thursday when, after dinner, a 29-year-old woman operator of the homestay바카라where the Israeli tourist and three other male tourists were staying바카라was sitting by the canal with them, enjoying music and stargazing," they said, as quoted by PTI.

The two women are undergoing treatment at a hospital. Among the male tourists, one was from the United States, while the others were from Odisha and Maharashtra, police said.

Manipur: 1 Dead, 25 Others Injured During Clashes In Kangpokpi After Police Stopped Peace March In Imphal West

One person has died and 25 others, including women, were injured after clashes erupted between Kuki demonstrators and security forces in different parts of Manipur's Kangpokpi district on Saturday.

This happened soon after the police stopped a peace march conducted by a Meitei body in Manipur's Imphal West district on Saturday as the programme coincided with the government's initiative to resume inter-district bus services to ensure free movement of people.

Security forces reportedly stopped the procession, taken out by the Federation of Civil Society Organisations at Sekmai, some 18 km from Imphal, and asked the organisers to join the government's free movement initiative.
