Delhi court issues notice to Congress's Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi in National Herald money laundering case, PTI confirmed.
The court said, "Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi right to be heard at the time of cognisance of the chargesheet."
Special judge Vishal Gogne said their "right to be heard" was available at the time of cognisance of the chargesheet.
Citing the judge, PTI reported that the right to be heard at any stage breathes life into a fair trial. The bench fixed the next hearing of the case on May 8.
What is the National Herald money laundering case?
In 1938, the National Herald newspaper was started by India's first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, from Lucknow.
In 1937, Associated Journals Limited (AJL), which published National Herald along with 'Qaumi Awaz' in Urdu and 'Navjeevan' in Hindi, did not belong to any one person but was founded with 5000 other freedom fighters as its shareholders, as per the reports.

Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are majority shareholders of Young India Ltd(YIL), which later acquired AJL.
Rahul and Sonia Gandhi together had 76 per cent ownership.
