The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel for allegedly spying for Pakistan, officials said on Monday.
According to PTI, the accused, Moti Ram Jat, an Assistant Sub Inspector with the CRPF, was allegedly sharing classified information related to national security with Pakistan Intelligence Officers (PIOs) since 2023. Officials also stated that Jat was receiving funds from the PIOs through various conduits.
As reported by The Hindu, Jat was arrested by the NIA in Delhi and was produced before a Special Court at Patiala House, which remanded him to the agency's custody till June 6.
In a statement issued by the CRPF, quoted by PTI, the force said that Jat had come under the scanner during the close monitoring of social media activity by CRPF personnel in coordination with central agencies. The force found that he had allegedly acted in violation of established norms and protocols.

바카라Concurrently, the individual has been dismissed from service with effect from 21.05.2025, under the relevant provisions of the Constitution of India read with the CRPF Rules,바카라 the CRPF said, according to PTI. The investigation is ongoing, and further questioning is underway.
