Amid these operations, at least 14 active militants have been identified in the region. Furthermore, three more houses affiliated with militants were blown up in Kashmir on Saturday night.

Pahalgam Terror Attack News: As tensions between India and Pakistan soar, Islamabad has once again been accused of violating the ceasefire at the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. The National Investigation Agency has taken over the probe of the Pahalgam terror attacks.

Pahalgam Attack

- 14 active militants have been identified by authorities in Jammu and Kashmir in the aftermath of the Pahalgam attack that killed 26 civilians on Tuesday. Three are with HM, eight from LeT and three with JeM.

- Three more houses of the identified active militants were blown up in Bandipora, Pulwama and Shopian districts; taking the total up to six on Sunday.

- The Indian Army released a statement claiming that the Pakistan Army posts initiated unprovoked small arms fire across the Line of Control in the areas opposite Tutmari Gali and Rampur Sectors in North Kashmir.

- The presidents of the United Arab Emirates and Iran have expressed their solidarity with India and condemned the terror attack in Pahalgam.

- India's Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief of Defence Staff Anil Chauhan met on Sunday to assess the Pahalgam attack, the meeting went on for almost 40 minutes.

- China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi talked to his Pakistani counterpart Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Sunday on a phone call, saying that China is closely monitoring the situation between India and Pakistan. He mentioned that China hopes both India and Pakistan practice restraint in the current escalation.

- Indian diaspora held a protest in London and in France, near the Eiffel Tower to express discontentment over the Pahalgam terror attack.

Pahalgam Attack LIVE: Pakistan Violates LoC Ceasefire Again

As per an official statement from the Indian Army, Pakistan Army posts initiated unprovoked small arms fire across the Line of Control in the areas opposite Tutmari Gali and Rampur Sectors in North Kashmir.

As per the Indian Army, the incident occurred on the night of April 26-27, 2025. "Our troops responded effectively with appropriate small arms fire," the statement added.

Pahalgam Attack LIVE: 14 Active Militants Identified In Kashmir

Security agencies have identified a total of 14 active militants in the wake of the Pahalgam attack. This list comes after the houses of six militants were blown up as part of the anti-militancy operations in Jammu and Kashmir.

As per the list accessed by Outlook India, the 14 active militants have been identified in Sopore, Awantipore, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Kulgam. These militants have been associated with government-designated terrorist organisations such as - Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM).

Security agencies further added that of these 14 active militants, three are with HM, eight from LeT and three with JeM.

Kashmir Pahalgam Attack LIVE: Houses of 3 Active Militants Demolished 

Authorities have demolished houses of three active militants in Bandipora, Pulwama and Shopian districts of Jammu and Kashmir as security forces continued their crackdown on the terror ecosystem in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack, officials said on Sunday.

The house of Adnan Shafi was demolished at Wandina in Shopian district on Saturday night, said authorties.

They added that the house of another active terrorist --Amir Nazir -- was demolished in Pulwama district.

In Bandipora district, the house of Lashkar-e-Toiba ultra Jameel Ahmad Shergojri was demolished. Shergojri has been active since 2016.

With this, the total number of houses demolised since the Pahalgam attack has gone up to nine.

Kashmir Pahalgam Attack LIVE: Social Activist, Attacked By Militants, Dies 

A 45-year-old social activist was shot dead by suspected militants in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district, officials said on Sunday.

The militants fired at Ghulam Rasool Magray inside his residence at Kandi Khas late on Saturday, they said.

Magray was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. It was not immediately clear why the ultras targeted the social activist.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken over the probe into the Pahalgam terror attack, which killed 26 people, including one Nepali tourist.

"The teams, overseen by an IG, a DIG and an SP from the anti-terror agency, are examining the eyewitnesses who had seen the horrifying attack unfold before their eyes at the peaceful and picturesque Baisaran valley. The eyewitnesses are being questioned in minute detail to piece together the sequence of events that led to one of the worst terror attacks in Kashmir," reads the official statement issued by the agency.

"The entry and exit points are being closely scrutinised by the investigating NIA teams for clues to the modus operandi of the terrorists. The teams, aided by forensic and other experts, are checking the entire area thoroughly for evidence to expose the terror conspiracy that led to the horrendous attack that has shocked the nation," NIA added further.

Pahalgam Attack LIVE: 19 Arrested For Controversial Remarks On Social Media 

As per reports, at least 19 people have been arrested in three states in the northeast over remarks on the terror attack in Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives.

The people who have been arrested in Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura include an MLA, a journalist, students, a lawyer and retired teachers. Most of the arrests were from social media posts.

Pahalgam Attack LIVE: BSF Gives farmers 48-hour deadline to harvest in Punjab

Days after last week's Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 tourists, the Border Security Force (BSF) on Saturday issued an urgent directive to farmers living along the India-Pakistan border, Hindustan Times reported.

BSF has been instructed to complete their harvesting and clear the fields within 48 hours as a precautionary measure.

Local farmers in a border village of Amritsar district have begun harvesting their ripe crops in fields located across the fence, anticipating that the gates may be closed soon due to rising tensions, ANI reported.

Singer Shreya Ghoshal became the latest artist to cancel her concert following the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir바카라s Pahalgam, PTI reported.

The organisers of the event shared a note on their Instagram handle earlier this week, which was reposted by Ghoshal on her account. The note said it has been a collective decision of the singer and the organisers to call off the concert.

At least 16 people have been arrested across Assam for making 바카라seditious comments바카라 in the wake of the Pahalgam attack, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Sunday.

바카라Total 16 arrests have been made till now against rogue elements,바카라 he said in a post on X.

The number of arrests was 14 till Saturday evening, as per a previous update by the Chief Minister.

Amid Pakistan media playing up his "no need for war" comments over the Pahalgam terror attack, and BJP's criticism, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday clarified that he did not say complete no to war, but meant there should be war only if it is inevitable, as it is not the solution.

Asserting that it was the duty of the Central government to provide security to tourists at Pahalgam, he reiterated his stand that there were lapses in this regard, and failure on the part of the intelligence in preventing the incident.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday visited the house of N Ramachandran (65), one of those killed in the Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir.

Finance Minister K N Balagopal and CPI(M) state secretary M V Govindan also accompanied the Chief Minister to the residence on Mangattu Road, Edappally.

Vijayan spent a few minutes with the family, consoling Ramachandran바카라s wife Sheela and daughter Arathi.

Pahalgam Attack LIVE: Meeting between Defence minister and Chief of defense staff ends

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief of Defence Staff Anil Chauhan met today in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack. The meeting lsted for close to 40 minutes.

The meeting was held in the wake of the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam that killed 26 people, mostly tourists. In response to the attack, India has downgraded diplomatic ties with Pakistan.

Pahalgam Attack Live: Indian Diaspora In London Counter Pakistani Protest

Members of the Indian diaspora counter the Pakistani protest outside the Indian High Commission in London, raising slogans to stop terrorism.

"People of Indian origin organised a peaceful protest in the UK, after some anti-social elements announced a protest outside the Indian High Commission," a member of the Indian diaspora said.

Pahalgam Attack: Chinese Foreign Minister Speaks To His Pakistani Counterpart

China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi talked to his Pakistani counterpart Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Sunday on a phone call, he said China is closely monitoring the situation between India and Pakistan.

He added that China hopes that both sides follow restraint, de-escalate tensions and that China is in favour of an impartial investigation.
