Tirupati Stampede: PM Modi, President Murmu, Rahul Gandhi, Andhra CM Mourn Loss Of Life

The stampede broke out as thousands of devotees queued up at various ticketing centers at Tirupati Temple since Wednesday morning for Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan tickets. The incident left six people dead.

Top political leaders of the country including PM Narendra Modi, leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi and others pour in their condolences for the stampede at Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh that killed six people.

PM Modi in a post on X expressed sorrow over the demise of the devotees and prayed for a speedy recovery for the injured. The PMO said: 바카라Pained by the stampede in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. My thoughts are with those who have lost their near and dear ones. I pray that the injured recover soon. The AP Government is providing all possible assistance to those affected.바카라

President Droupadi Murmu on X said she was distressed to know the loss of lives of devotees due to a stampede in Tirupati, and offered her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. "Distressed to know that a stampede in Tirupati led to loss of life of many devotees. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and pray for speedy recovery of the injured," Murmu said.

Leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi on X offered his condolences and urged Congress leaders and workers of the state to provide all possible assistance. 바카라The tragic stampede in Tirupati is deeply saddening. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on X expressed his shock and offered his condolences. "Pained by the unfortunate incident of the stampede in the Tirupati temple. My sincere condolences to the families of the deceased. May the injured recover at the earliest. I am deeply shocked by the stampede incident at the Tirupati Vishnu Niwasam ticket counter. I pray for the souls of the devotees who lost their lives in this unfortunate incident to rest in peace. I wish the injured a speedy recovery,바카라 Shah said.

Condolences also came from former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal who expressed his grief and prayed for the peace of the departed souls. "This accident that happened in Tirupati temple is very sad. May God give place to the departed souls in his lotus feet. I pray to God that the devotees who have been injured get well soon and return to their homes," Kejriwal posted on X.

Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu on X said: 바카라The death of several devotees in a stampede near Vishnu Niwasam in Tirupati for tokens to visit Tirumala Srivari Vaikuntha Dwara has shocked me. This tragic incident, which took place at a time when devotees had gathered in large numbers for tokens, deeply disturbed me.바카라 Naidu is expected to visit the temple on January 9.

Six devotees, including three women, died while several others sustained injuries in the stampede. Since Wednesday morning, hundreds of devotees across the country jostled for tickets for 10-day-long Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam at Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple. The incident took place a day after Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer (EO) J Syamala Rao mentioned that extensive measures have been taken for the lakhs of devotees ahead of the Vaikuntha Ekadasi and Vaikuntha Dwara Darshanam scheduled from January 10 to 19, 2025.
