In a coordinated security operation, two terrorist associates were apprehended in the DK Pora area of Shopian district, Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Sunday, ANI reported.

The joint operation was carried out by the Indian Army바카라™s 34 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operations Group (SOG) Shopian, and the Central Reserve Police Force바카라™s (CRPF) 178 Battalion.

The arrests are being seen as a significant development in ongoing counter-terror operations in South Kashmir.

Earlier, on May 13, security forces killed three Lashkar-e-Taiba militants in an intense exchange of fire in the Shukroo forest area of Keller in Shopian district, South Kashmir.

The encounter began when a joint team of police, army, and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the area.

As the forces approached the suspected location, militants hiding in the area opened fire, which was retaliated by the security forces.

According to reports, two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the area.
