Former Tripura chief minister Biplab Deb on Sunday said that under the nine years of the Narendra Modi government India has emerged as a strong nation that dares to enter the house and kill the enemies with "surgical strike." Â
   Â
Deb made the remark addressing a gathering at the 'Gauravshali Bharat Rally' held in Gurugram's Jatauli. Â
   Â
BJP Haryana in-charge OP Dhankar, also present in the rally, took a jibe at the opposition parties meeting in Patna, saying their alliance was not for the welfare of the country but to remove Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
   Â
Today the opposition has no policy, no intention, and no leadership, while the Bharatiya Janata Party has the personality and leadership of Narendra Modi, he said. Â
   Â
Dhankhar also attacked the Congress by terming June 25, the day of emergency imposed by Indira Gandhi, as a "black day" in the history of India.
   Â
The rally, convened by Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh, saw a huge crowd despite heavy rain.
   Â
Rao Inderjit Singh said under the BJP leadership at the Centre and the state, the southern part of Haryana which was neglected for decades was getting fresh attention adding a new dimension to itself with development.
   Â
Rao said the state will soon lay the foundation stone of AIIMS in Manethi in south Haryana, highlighting it as the only state in the country with two AIIMS.
   Â
The Union Minister said that only 11 kilometres of highways were built every day in the previous governments, which rose to 37 kilometres at present. Â
   Â
Rao Inderjit Singh was seen sharing a stage with former cabinet minister Rao Narbir, former MP Sudha Yadav, and Pataudi MLA Satyaprakash Jaravata, known to be his staunch detractors.
