Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) secured a big eight-wicket win over Punjab Kings (PBKS) in an intense Qualifier 1 match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Thursday, 29 May. Despite being a low-scoring affair, the match had its moments of intensity, one coming in the very first over of RCB바카라™s chase between Virat Kohli and Arshdeep Singh.
Chasing a modest target of 102, RCB opened with Virat Kohli and Phil Salt, with pacer Arshdeep Singh having the ball. After Salt rotated the strike, Kohli faced Arshdeep and promptly dispatched the second delivery to the boundary.
The third ball, aimed at Kohli바카라™s pads, deflected off his thigh pad and raced to the fine leg fence. As the ball reached the boundary, Kohli advanced down the pitch, locking eyes with Arshdeep in an intense stare.
Arshdeep, however, chose not to engage in the mental battle with the batter and calmly returned to his bowling mark, unfazed by Kohli바카라™s attempts to get into his head.
Following the match, the pacer바카라™s Instagram posts are filled with comments from fans, some commending the bowler for not losing his cool, while others oddly criticising him for standing up to a legend like Kohli.
Meanwhile, Virat, who also engaged in sledging against debutant Musheer Khan, could not stay on the pitch for long, eventually getting dismissed for 12 runs off 12 balls by Kyle Jamieson in the fourth over.
Despite Kohli바카라™s early wicket, RCB completed the chase with 10 overs remaining, courtesy of a 52-run knock from Salt off 27 deliveries. With this win, RCB have booked their place in the IPL final for the first time since 2016, and will look to go one step further in the final on 3 June to earn their maiden title.
