Rain has been a recurring disruptor in the tournament, with around four matches already called off due to inclement weather, affecting the rhythm and momentum of several teams.
Kuwait Women came into this fixture after enduring a tough stretch, having lost five consecutive games. Their struggles continued in the opening match of the campaign, where Thailand Women eased past them, chasing down the target with eight wickets in hand.
However, Kuwait showed signs of recovery in their previous outing, registering a morale-boosting 35-run win over Bhutan Women, their first in the tournament and a much-needed lift in confidence.
Thailand Women, on the other hand, began their campaign as tournament favourites and lived up to expectations with a dominant win over Kuwait in their opener. However, their second game against Bhutan was washed out due to rain, halting any early momentum.
And now, with Match 10 also abandoned without a ball being bowled, Thailand have been denied yet another opportunity to strengthen their position in the standings.
