Virat and Rohit both called time on their red-ball careers, just ahead of India바카라s high-stakes five-Test series against England. Their exits signal a clear intent to make room for the next generation in India바카라s Test setup, especially with an eye on the upcoming World Test Championship cycle.

According to Sports Today, Gavaskar does not expect Rohit and Virat to feature in the 2027 ODI World Cup, contrary to growing speculation following their recent retirements from Test cricket.

Speaking to Sports Today, Sunil Gavaskar said, 바카라They바카라ve been massive performers in this format. But the selection committee will now be thinking about the 2027 World Cup. They바카라ll ask themselves, can these two still make the kind of contributions they바카라ve made in the past? Can they still be part of that team? If the answer is yes, then both of them will be there. But that바카라s the big question facing the selectors now.바카라

Sharing his personal view, Gavaskar made a bold prediction, saying he doesn't see Virat and Rohit featuring in the 2027 World Cup.

바카라No, I don바카라t think they바카라ll be playing. I바카라m being very honest,바카라 he said. 바카라But who knows, if over the next year or so they hit a purple patch and keep scoring hundreds, then even God won바카라t be able to drop them,바카라 he added.

Filling the void left by Virat and Rohit will be no easy task for India.

Virat concluded his remarkable Test career, amassing 9,230 runs in 123 matches, including 30 centuries, at an average of 46.85. Meanwhile, Rohit, who found his footing in Test cricket later, finished with 4,301 runs from 67 Tests, boasting an average of 40.57 and 12 centuries for the national team.
