Outmuscled by West Ham United, an uncharacteristic Arsenal succumbed to an early cup exit after a poor Round of 16 showing. Arsenal, who are unbeaten in the league, trailed the Hammers early after Ben White ended up inadvertently forcing the ball past the returning Aaron Ramsdale in goal. West Ham doubled and then tripled their lead after the break, with Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen scoring one each. Martin Odegaard pulled one back for the Gunners late on as a mere consolation.
