The home side are dominating the ball in the early stages, with almost 70% posession. Both Coman and Olise have florated in balls in the box, and Thomas Muller came close with a cross that no one got their head on, and it almost turned into an effort on goal that had Omlin worried for a second.

It's M'gladbach who draw the first save of the match, and Stefan Lainer comes forward down the right flank and floats in a cross, possibly targetting Kleindienst. It turns into a shot, and Neuer had to be at full stretch to tip it over.

The visitors have an even better chance through Robin Hack, who makes a terrific run on the edge of the box and puts in a cross, but it's barely cleared by Guerreiro.

Despite the general dominance of the play by Bayern Munich and the attacking impetus of Gladbach, neither team have been able to fashion any kind of clear-cut chances at the moment.

Hack's cross was the only serious threat on Neuer's goal, and Harry Kane's shot was blocked before troubling Omlin, while Guerreiro failed to get at the end of a floating cross from Kimmich and poke it home.

A fantastic reflex save from Neuer. Gladbach float in a corner into the Bayern box, and it hits Kane's head and then bounces off Dier's shouler towards their own goal, but the German keeper is alert and puts up a strong hand to punch it away. A lucky break for the home side.

A shot on target for Bayern, as Kimmich received a pass from the left flank from Coman, opting to shoot from outside the box rather than work it into the box. The shot is powerful but is fairly central, and Omlin collects without much trouble.

Arjen Robben, is that you?! Michael Olise receives the ball from the right flank, and then takes on two defends while cutting inside the box. The French attacker has a powerful shot with his left foot, and it flies towards the top corner, beating a flying Omlin.

Replays show that it's actually Harry Kane's head which had the last touch on the ball, so the goal goes to Kane.

A decent chance for Gladbach to go level, as Robin Hack finds himself with an opening, taking the ball on his left foot and, with Dier ahead putting pressure, shoots towards the bottom left corner, but Neuer gets down quickly and puts it behind.

Bayern are pushing forward for a second goal at every opportunity, and Laimer almost found Kane with a fantastic ball into the box, but the English striker's diving effort could not connect with the ball. Meanwhile, other than a header by Kleindienst, M'gladbach have had no serious effort on Neuer's goal.

No added time added on by the fourth offiical, and the referee blows for half-time.

Despite Bayern mantaining the high pressure on their defence, Monchengladbach are doing better than their first-half showing, getting a couple of shots -- albeit, off-target -- in the first five minutes.

However, it's Guerreiro who came the closest. Olise showed excellent footwork in the box and played it back to the left-back, and his first-time shot was millimetres above the top bar.

A decent chance for Muller. A shot from Olise is blocked by the defence, but it falls to Muller, but his shot hits the ground and rolls to Omlin's gloves. Not meant to be.

A lack of clear cut chances for either team at the moment, but Olise has a shot on target, cutting inside and, under pressure from the centre backs, shooting, but it's straight at Omlin.

Gladbach counter on the other end, but Hack's shot is blocked by the defenders before it troubles Neuer.

Back to back saves from Manuel Neuer! Reitz is played through by Cvancara, and his one-on-one shot is saved by the German, who then makes another terrific save a couple minutes later from Stoger to keep Bayern's lead intact.

Michael Olise finally gets his goal in the final minute of normla time, and the chance is created by Leroy Sane, who played Olise through, and the French poked in the ball with his left foot first time, Olbin completely beaten.

Sane had a shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but Omlin did well to keep it out. The corner is barely taken and referee blows for the full-time whistle, and the German champions win this game.
