Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix Highlights, F1 2025: Verstappen Wins; Norris, Piastri On Podium

Welcome to the legendary Imola circuit for the 2025 Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix --Ferrari바카라�s home turf, but hardly a happy one this weekend. We will talk about that and much more, so stay tuned.

McLaren have been in control so far this season. Oscar Piastri leads the drivers바카라� standings with 131 points, and teammate Lando Norris isn바카라�t far behind with 115. The 1-2 lead in the drivers championship keeps McLaren well ahead in the constructors바카라� championship too--they바카라�re on 246 points, with Mercedes in second on 141 points.

We are at the legendary Imola circuit for the 2025 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix --Ferrari바카라�s home turf, but hardly a happy one this weekend. Qualifying was a disaster for the Scuderia, with Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton crashing out in Q3 due to brake issues in the SF-25. They'll start a painful 11th and 12th. At the sharp end of the grid, championship leader Oscar Piastri stormed to pole, edging out Max Verstappen and George Russell. Lando Norris lines up fourth, keeping McLaren firmly in the mix. This is the track where Hamilton holds the record for the fastest lap, where Verstappen has ruled since 2021 and we await what happens this year. Stay with us.

Formation lap is underway now. It is a warm day in Italy and Piastri is down to Turn 1. We are gearing up for an exciting race here.

Brilliant start from Max Verstappen and he has snatched the lead from Piastri straightaway. What a terrific start to the race from the Dutchman. Piastri behind him now. The top 10 is mostly as it was.

Verstappen is building on his lead now and he is already 1.6 seconds ahead of Piastri. Good start from the Dutchman but this is a long race and things can change quite quickly as we have seen.

Norris gets past Russell to take P3 after a lot of close driving between the duo. Meanwhile, Verstappen has built a good enough lead now. He is leading Piastri by over 2 seconds now. He is maintaining his good start.

Norris' tyres give up and he falls back at the fifth spot with Russell taking P3. Verstappen leading Piastri by 2.6 seconds while there is a massive gap between Russell and Piastri who are seperated by almost 8 seconds.

Piastri has dropped to P8 and Norris has risen to P2 just behind Verstappen. But that has also meant that now Verstappen is in healthy lead of over 9 seconds. Albon at P3. So it is getting interesting everywhere else except right at the top where Verstappen is motoring his way.

19 seconds now the gap between Verstappen and Norris. You would feel like he has sealed the deal for the day. Piastri has worked his way to get to P4 but things not going his way today. Hamilton has taken P6 at this point, so a decent day for him but can he maintain that? Let us keep going.

Verstappen looks all set to clinch the win at Imola today. Norris at P2 but 18 seconds behind Verstappen. Meanwhile, Piastri has taken P3 with 30s behind the leader and Albon has been pulled down to P4. Hamilton keeps rising and P5 is where he is at right now.

Things are getting interesting as we move deep into this race. Piastri is back in second and he is back with a bang. The gap between him and Verstappen has now been reduced to 2.1 seconds. What seemed like a one-sided win for Verstappen turns out to be a bit challenging. Meanwhile, Mercedes' Antonelli is off track now after an accident. He was going well and that is a very sad way to end.

Took the lead right at the start and never looked back. Another fantastic performance by Verstappen and he gets his fourth straight win at Imola. Top class performance.

Top performance from Max Verstappen and he manages a fourth straight victory at Imola. Oscar Piastri, who started from pole, had a bit of up and down before he settled at the second spot. his McLaren teammate Lando Norris completed the podium. It was a good finish for Lewis Hamilton as well who finished at the fourth spot. Williams' Alexander Albon got the fifth place.

Piastri remains in control of the Championship, 13 points ahead of Norris. But Verstappen has closed right up - he is just nine points back now.
