McLaren바카라™s dominant run of form continued under the lights at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya as Oscar Piastri claimed victory in a dramatic Spanish Grand Prix 2025, with teammate Lando Norris finishing second to complete a 1-2 victory for Papaya.

Starting from pole, Piastri saw some scares from the four time champion Max Verstappen but prevailed and now leads the Formula One 2025 drivers바카라™ championship with 186 points, bolstered by five wins and seven podiums. Norris, who now has eight podiums and two wins this season, stays well alive in the contention with 176 points -- just ten behind.

Nevertheless, it wasn바카라™t all smooth sailing in Barcelona. The final laps delivered pure chaos, especially the collision between Max Verstappen and George Russell.

Spanish GP Final Lap Drama: Max Verstappen-George Russell Crash

On the final lap, Max Verstappen slowed down to let George Russell pass, as instructed by his team. But just as the Mercedes driver was alongside, Verstappen suddenly accelerated past the braking zone, locked his front-left tire, and collided with Russell바카라™s car.

The incident caused contact between Verstappen바카라™s front-right and Russell바카라™s front-left wheels, leading to a crash that went under official investigation. The stewards reviewed the incident and handed Verstappen a 10-second time penalty.

Therefore, Verstappen who finished fifth was dropped to 10th after the penalty due to the clash against the fourth placed George Russell.

Adding to the late drama, Ferrari's ace Charles Leclerc made a really nervy charge and overtook Verstappen on the restart, holding firm to finish fourth. The Ferrari driver was involved in some heated moments himself, with Verstappen accusing him over team radio of contact that never materialized into an investigation.

Perhaps the biggest surprise of the day, though, came from Nico Hulkenberg. Starting all the way down in 16th, the Haas driver battled the backmarkers and ahead on the field to secure an astonishing fifth-place finish--his best of the season.
