The inaugural Neeraj Chopra Classic, originally scheduled for May 24, has been postponed due to the escalating cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan, the organisers announced on May 9. (More Athletics News)

바카라In light of the current situation, the inaugural edition of the NC Classic stands postponed until further notice. The decision has been made after careful thought and consultation, with the well-being of athletes, stakeholders, and the broader community as the top priority,바카라 an official statement issued by NC Classic Team said.

The new date for the Neeraj Chopra Classic will be announced once the situation improves.

Chopra earlier said he has been bombarded with "hate and abuse" for inviting Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem to next month's NC Classic in Bengaluru, clarifying that the Olympic champion's presence was "completely out of question" in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack.

Chopra, speaking ahead of the now-postponed Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025, confirmed that top javelin stars like Anderson Peters of Grenada and Kenya바카라s Julius Yego were set to compete in the one-day event in India. The meet was also meant to act as a qualifier for the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, though Neeraj has already secured his spot.

He also announced that he will kick off his 2025 season at the Doha Diamond League on May 16 at the Qatar Sports Club.
