The Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025 is set to take place on July 5, 2025, at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, organisers JSW Sports announced on Tuesday.
Originally scheduled for May 24th, the event was postponed due to security concerns amid India-Pakistan tensions and as a gesture of national solidarity.
The international javelin meet will bring together top male and female athletes from around the world, with two-time Olympic medallist, Neeraj Chopra headlining the lineup. It offers Indian fans a rare opportunity to experience world-class javelin competition live on home soil.
Chopra will be joined by an elite group of throwers including:
Anderson Peters (Grenada), two-time world champion
Thomas Rohler (Germany), Rio 2016 Olympic gold medallist
Julius Yego (Kenya), 2015 world champion
Kishore Jena, Asian Games silver medallist and India바카라™s rising star
The meet is organized in partnership with JSW Sports and officially sanctioned by the Athletics Federation of India (AFI).
Chopra바카라™s last appearance on home soil was at the National Federation Senior Athletics Competition in Bhubaneswar in 2024, where he threw 82.27 metres as part of his build-up to the Paris Olympics.
The NC Classic 2025 will be a key qualification event for the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, scheduled from September 13 to 21.
While it presents a golden chance for many athletes to secure their place, Chopra will not be chasing a mark, the reigning world champion has already punched his ticket to the global stage.
