We have an enthralling iteration of the clay court Grand Slam in store, with the 23-year-old Jannik Sinner, aiming for his first Roland Garros triumph, being the top seed while defending champion Alcaraz is seeded second, anchoring the bottom half of the draw. This marks the youngest top two seeds at a Major since the 2006 US Open, when a 25-year-old Roger Federer and 20-year-old Rafael Nadal led the field.

The singles main draw will be made on Thursday (May 22), while the qualifying matches are already underway and will conclude on Friday. While the now-retired clay court giant Rafael Nadal expectedly holds the record for most French Open singles titles (14), Novak Djokovic is the oldest champion, having lifted the trophy in Paris in 2023. The Serbian is now seeking his fourth triumph at Roland Garros.
