The second day of French Open 2025 saw a couple of major results, with Daniel Altmaier knocking out fourth seed Taylor Fritz and Paula Badosa sending former world number one Naomi Osaka packing in the first round. Defending men's singles champion Carlos Alcaraz beat Giulio Zeppieri in straight sets to advance, and so did women's reigning champion Iga Swiatek in her opener against Rebecca Sramkova.
