Allison Janney Joins Kristen Wiig, Laura Dern's Series 'Mrs. American Pie'

Oscar-winner Allison Janney has joined the cast of the upcoming Apple comedy series 바카라�Mrs. American Pie바카라�, fronted by Kristen Wiig and Laura Dern. The 10-episode show, which is based on Juliet McDaniel바카라�s novel 바카라�Mr. & Mrs. American Pie바카라�, will be executive produced by Dern, who developed the project and is eyeing a key role.

Set in the early 1970s, 바카라�Mrs. American Pie바카라� follows Maxine Simmons (Wiig) as she attempts to secure her place within the high society of Palm Beach.

바카라�As Maxine attempts to cross that impermeable line between the haves and the have-nots, 바카라�Mrs. American Pie바카라� asks the same questions that still baffle us today: 바카라�Who gets a seat at the table?바카라� 바카라�How do you get a seat at the table?바카라� 바카라�What will you sacrifice to get there?바카라� 바카라�Set during the powderkeg era of the early 1970s, 바카라�Mrs. American Pie바카라� is a testament to every outsider fighting for their chance at superficial greatness,바카라� the official logline read.

Janney, known for her performances in shows such as 바카라�The West Wing바카라�, 바카라�Masters Of Sex바카라� and 바카라�Mom바카라�, will play Evelyn, a full-time Palm Beach resident and member of the high society.

바카라�Mrs. American Pie바카라� will be written, executive produced and showrun by Abe Sylvia. Filmmaker Tate Taylor, known for movies such as 바카라�Breaking News In Yuba County바카라� and 바카라�The Help바카라�, will direct.

Dern, who developed the project, will executive produce alongside her producing partner Jayme Lemons. Taylor and John Norris also serve as executive producers under their Wyolah Entertainment banner. Katie O바카라�Connell Marsh executive produces for Boat Rocker.

Janney won an Oscar for best-supporting actress for her 2017 film 바카라�I,Tonya바카라�. She most recently wrapped production on Gareth Edwards바카라� sci-fi epic 바카라�True Love바카라�, starring John David Washington and Gemma Chan.

The actor will also feature in the upcoming thriller 바카라�Lou바카라�, directed by Anna Forester, as well as Claire Scanlon-directed comedy "The People We Hate at the Wedding", starring Kristen Bell and Ben Platt.
