A cloud of tragedy looms over Royal Challengers Bengaluru바카라s historic IPL 2025 triumph after a devastating stampede outside the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium claimed the lives of 11 people during the team바카라s victory celebrations on June 4. On Friday, social activist H.M. Venkatesh filed a complaint naming Virat Kohli as one of the individuals responsible for the incident. However, no FIR has yet been registered on the complaint.
The horrific stampede unfolded as an estimated 2 to 3 lakh fans gathered around a venue designed to hold only 35,000. According to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, the crowd size overwhelmed all logistical arrangements, leading to chaos and tragedy. The state government has since launched an investigation, appointing retired High Court judge Justice John Michael D'Cunha to lead a one-member inquiry commission.
In the aftermath, four individuals linked to the event's organisation were arrested: Nikhil Sosale (RCB바카라s marketing and revenue head), Sunil Mathew (VP of business affairs), Kiran Kumar (senior event manager), and Sumanth (ticketing operations lead), all from DNA Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. They have been remanded to 14 days of judicial custody by the 14th ACMM court.
RCB icon Virat Kohli, who was named in the complaint, expressed heartbreak over the tragedy. Sharing RCB바카라s official statement, Kohli wrote, 바카라At a loss for words. Absolutely gutted.바카라 The franchise echoed the sentiment, stating that the team and management were "deeply anguished."
As a gesture of solidarity, RCB has announced ā¹10 lakh in compensation for each of the deceased victims바카라 families and launched a relief fund named "RCB Cares" to support those injured. While celebrations turned into sorrow, the cricketing community mourns the lives lost in what should have been a joyous occasion.
