Dharma Productions upcoming film, Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, is finally all set to hit the screens. The new release of Dhadak 2, was announced, after CBFC cleared it with multiple cuts.
Dhadak 2 new release date
Karan Johar, on Monday, took to social media to release two new posters of Dhadak 2, featuring Siddhant and Triptii. He also announced the new release date of the romantic drama.
"मरने और लड़ने में से एक को चुनना हो... तो लड़ना।#Dhadak2 आ रही है सभी सिनेमाघरों में - 1st August 2025💙," he wrote in Hindi.
Dhadak 2 was announced in May 2024 by Karan Johar. The film was originally scheduled to release in November 2024 but was postponed to March 2025 due to the delay in certification by the censor board.
Reportedly, it got a clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), with a U/A certificate after 16 major changes.
As per a report in The Hindu, "scenes featuring caste-based discrimination like slurs and violence in Dhadak 2 were removed or modified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), clearing the way for the film바카라s release months after its original release date."
Dhadak 2 also explores the themes of caste and social discrimination, like its previous 2018 film Dhadak, which was a remake of the Marathi blockbuster Sairat. The Hindi version starrer Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor.
Directed by Shazia Iqbal, Siddhant and Triptii starrer is a remake of the Tamil anti-caste 2018 film Pariyerum Perumal, which was released with four cuts.
