Sitaare Zameen Par is one of the most-awaited movies of the year. After the first-look poster of the film, fans have been waiting with bated breath for the trailer. But due to the ongoing India-Pakistan tensions, Aamir Khan has reportedly decided to postpone the release of Sitaare Zameen Par trailer.
As per a report in Mid-Day, Aamir "feels it's important to respond with unity and restraint during this time."

Sitaare Zameen Par stars Aamir Khan in the lead. It is a "spiritual sequel" to the 2007 superhit Taare Zameen Par, starring 10 debutant actors, alongside Mr Perfectionist.
Like the 2007 film, Sitaare Zameen Par also promises to be another joyful, refreshing, and enchanting tale filled with joy and entertainment.

Apart from Aamir, the film also stars Genelia Deshmukh as the female lead. It marks her first collaboration with the Lagaan star. Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar are making their debut in the film.
Sitaare Zameen Par is directed by by R. S. Prasanna, of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan fame and is backed by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy has composed the music for the film with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The screenplay is written by Divy Nidhi Sharma.
