Kantara Star Rishab Shetty Remembers His Late Co-Star Rakesh Poojary With An Emotional Note

Kannada television personality and comedian, Rakesh Poojary, who was also the winner of Comedy Khiladigalu Season 3, passed away on late Sunday (May 11) night. He was 34.

Rakesh was supposed to star in Kantara Chapter 1 and he had recently completed shooting. Kantara star Rishab Shetty mourned the demise of Rakesh Poojary, with an emotional note on social media.

Rishab, in his note, wrote how Rakesh left a deep impact in everyone's hearts. He also prayed for strength and comfort for Rakesh바카라™s family.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Rishab wrote the post in Telugu, which is roughly translated as, "You were not just a part of our lives, but you left a deep impact on our hearts. Your smile, words, and presence always brought joy to those around you. Even though you are not physically with us anymore, your memories will live on forever in our hearts. We will miss you dearly. May your soul rest in peace. With heartfelt condolences, we pray for strength and comfort for your family and loved ones".

Rakesh Poojary's Death

Rakesh suffered a cardiac arrest, during a mehendi ceremony in Nitte, located in Karkala taluk of Udupi district. He was taken to a hospital, but was declared dead by doctors.

Who was Rakesh Poojary?

Rakesh gained recognition during Comedy Khiladigalu Season 2, where his team was the runner-up. He rose to fame when he won the third season of the Zee Kannada show in 2020. He became one of the most loved Kannada television comedians.

Apart from television, Rakesh also worked in theatre and films. He did several Kannada movies including Pailwan and Itu Entha Lokavayya, and Tulu films such as Petkammi and Ammer Police.
