A Japanese man was arrested in Osaka for intentionally ramming his car into seven primary school children on Thursday.
"I was fed up with everything, so I decided to kill people by ramming the car I was driving into several elementary school children," police quoted the 28 -year-old suspect, AFP reported.
The children were walking back home when the incident occurred around 1:30pm local time. The suspect - named Yuki Yazawa - deliberately drove towards the students in a zigzag manner, a witnesses told local media.
The students were taken to the hospital and are safe. All of them - aged between seven to eight - escaped with minor injuries that included bruises and scratches. One girl amongst the seven students - suffered a broken jaw. All were conscious when taken to the hospital.
The girl was "covered in blood and other kids suffering what appeared to be scratches", a witness told Nippon TV.
Teachers from the primary school pulled Yazawa out of the car after he drove it into the children.

One more witness told the local media that the car revered back towards the children after hitting them the first time.
The police have held Yuzawa - an unemployed man - on suspicion of attempted murder. The examination of his white SUV is underway.
