In a dazzling celebration of cinematic excellence, Martin Scorsese's epic crime drama, "Killers of the Flower Moon," has been named the best film of 2023 by the New York Film Critics Circle.
This marks the third time Scorsese has received this prestigious accolade from his hometown critics, with his earlier triumphs being "GoodFellas" in 1990 and "The Irishman" in 2019.
Apart from this, the critics also honored Lily Gladstone with the Best Actress award for her compelling performance alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the same movie.
"Killers of the Flower Moon," a $200 million Apple Studios production based on David Grann바카라s nonfiction bestseller, chronicles the Osage murders of the 1920s.
Christopher Nolan's blockbuster drama, "Oppenheimer," also garnered significant recognition, securing the Best Director award for Nolan and Best Cinematography for Hoyte van Hoytema.
The awards will be handed out at a dinner on 3 January. Last year, the critics named Todd Field바카라s 바카라Tár바카라 the best film of 2022.
