United States President Donald Trump on Sunday agreed to push the deadline for implementing a 50 percent tariff on European goods from June 1 to July 9. The move comes after the head of the European Union Ursula von der Leyen claimed that 바카라œthey need more time to reach a good deal,바카라 as reported by Reuters

Trump had earlier voiced his frustration on Friday asserting that the trade talks are not moving at a fast enough pace. He further threatened to impose sweeping tariffs of 50 percent starting June 1.

The US President had announced a 20 percent tariff on most EU goods last month which was later reduced to 10 percent in light of the negotiations.

According to reports, Trump extended the deadline after Leyen requested him to do so over a call. "We will rapidly get together to see if we can work something out,바카라 she said in a social media post. While posting on X, she also said that she had a 바카라œgood phone call바카라 with Trump pertaining to the negotiations.

While speaking to reporters, Trump claimed that Leyen told him "we will rapidly get together and see if we can work something out,바카라 as reported by BBC. He later posted on his Truth Social platform that 바카라œit was his privilege to extend the deadline.바카라

Trump had previously called the EU 바카라œvery difficult to deal with바카라 which is also one of the largest trading partners for the US. According to US government data, the EU exported over $600 billion goods to the nation while importing goods worth more than $370 billion last year.
