Two days after an FIR was filed, a man accused of secretly filming women on the Bengaluru Metro and uploading the content to Instagram has been arrested on Friday.
On May 21, an FIR was registered at Banashankari Police Station. Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Lokesh B Jagalasar had stated, 바카라An FIR has been booked in this regard at Banashankari PS and investigation is taken up.바카라
As per media reports, on Wednesday, Lokesh B Jagalasar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, told reporters that a case has been registered and investigation is underway to apprehend the accused Instagram user.
The matter drew netizens' attention when an X user flagged the disturbing Instagram handle @metro_chicks which reportedly posted the secretly recorded videos of women and sought prompt intervention by the concerned authorities.
Highlighting the violation of women바카라s privacy, the user also urged the Bengaluru Police Commissioner and the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) to take cognisance of the matter followed by immediate action.
The above-mentioned Instagram account, which now has deleted all the posts, had over 6,000 followers on Instagram at the time of publishing this story.
Taking cognisance of the matter, Bengaluru Central MP PC Mohan termed it "a blatant violation of privacy and dignity, not just creepy but a serious crime". He also directed the Bengaluru Police to take action against the offender.
