The Congress on Monday urged the Centre to issue clarification on whether it is ready to engage a third-party for mediation on the Kashmir issue, cautioning that this response could potentially violate the Shimla agreement. The party had earlier sought government response on whether it accepted US mediation on Kashmir after US president Donald Trump announced their mediation leading to the ceasefire.

AICC general secretary K C Venugopal claimed that the party wants to be informed if there has been a shift in the nation's foreign policy and called for the issue to be taken up in parliament as soon as possible.

"Was the Simla Agreement, which rejects any third-party involvement in the Kashmir issue between India and Pakistan, violated? Trump has been making statements daily, claiming that he has intervened in the matter. We need the government's clarification,바카라 Venugopal asserted.

"The Congress party has asked the Prime Minister of India to urgently convene Parliament to discuss these issues. This is not to blame anyone or put them on trial. "We must get answers to these questions in order to rectify lapses and mistakes, and to continue our fight against Pakistan without fail,바카라 he added further.

In addition to a special session of the parliament, the opposition has also called for an all-party meeting convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. While addressing a press conference at AICC headquarters, Congress General-Secretary Sachin Pilot said, "We were all surprised after the announcement of ceasefire was made by the US President through social media."

"An attempt was made to internationalise the issues between India and Pakistan. This is for the first time this has happened,바카라 he added further.
