Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday released the BJP's election manifesto 바카라˜Sankalp Patra바카라™ in the presence of senior party leaders, including president Amit Shah.

The manifesto comes three days before the seven-phased Lok Sabha elections beginning April 11. 

Below are the key points of the BJP manifesto:

  • Commitment to implement Uniform Civil Code
  • BJP will ensure passage of Citizenship Amendment Bill in Parliament with utmost respect to every state's cultural value
  • Will give Rs 6,000 yearly income support to farmers and pension to small and marginal farmers above 60 years of age
  • All alternative options will be explored for construction of Ram temple in a most conducive manner
  • Double farmers income by 2022
  • Zero interest for 5 years on loans through (kisan) credit card of up to Rs one lakh
  • 100 per cent electrification of all households
  • Rs 100 lakh crore to be spent on infrastructure in five years
  • Zero tolerance approach to terrorism
  • BJP manifesto says the party reiterates its position to abrogate Article 370 and annul Article 35A
  • Aspires to make India the third largest economy of the world by 2030
  • Continue with the simplification of GST process by engaging in dialogue with all stakeholders
  • Will launch a new scheme to provide collateral-free credit up to Rs 50 lakh for entrepreneurs
  • Will continue crackdown on Benami properties and illegal foreign bank accounts
  • Will try to build a consensus with all parties on the idea of simultaneous elections for Parliament
  • Ensure a pucca house to every family
  • Ensure LPG gas cylinder connection to all poor rural households
