After heavy rain and thunderstorms late Wednesday night, the IMD has predicted that Delhi's sky will remain partly cloudy with increased chances of rain and thunderstorms on Friday and Saturday.
Meanwhile, the IMD has issued a red alert for Goa and an orange alert for Kerala. Similarly, West Bengal and other coastal states are expected to see heavy rainfall in the coming days, as the monsoon has arrived.
Here are the details of the IMD's latest predictions:
Cloudy Sky For Delhi
In an official release, the IMD said, "Thunderstorms are likely on May 23 and 24. A partly cloudy sky with possible thunderstorms and lightning is likely on May 25 and 26.
Rainfall or thundershowers are expected on May 27." The weather department said that this update comes after a severe storm hit Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad on Wednesday evening, bringing rain, hail and gusty winds.
Red Alert For Goa
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a "red alert" for several coastal districts of Goa.
According to IMD, this pre-monsoon rainfall is due to the formation of a low-pressure system over the east-central Arabian Sea off the coast of south Konkan and Goa.

Furthermore, the IMD has also said thunderstorms with light to moderate rainfall and gusty wind speeds reaching 40 km/h were likely to occur at one or two places in the Kottayam and Idukki districts during the day.
