The airfare of flights out of Kashmir have surged in the wake of the terror attack in Pahalgam that killed at least 26 civilians and injured multiple. The price of a flight from Srinagar to Delhi for Thursday skyrocketed to as high as Rs. 65,000.
The surge forced Civil Aviation Ministry to issue an advisory on Wednesday morning - suggesting airlines to regularise the prices of flights flying to and from Srinagar. Stranded tourists in the state are attempting to fly out in the aftermath of the terror attack.
After the Directorate General of Civil Aviation바카라s intervention, the surge in prices dropped to around Rs 14,000.

Another user shared a screenshot of airfare elevated by private airlines.
"Just look at how Private Airlines are charging 3 times more fare from the panick stricken tourists of Sri Nagar," they mentioned on X.
Indian airline IndiGo extended waivers on rescheduling and cancellation of flights from Srinagar and Jammu - applicable to booking made on or before April 22. There will also be two special flights on April 23 from Srinagar to Mumbai and Delhi each.
Air India also operated two additional flights from Srinagar to Delhi and Mumbai on Wednesday at 11:30AM and 12 noon respectively. 바카라We remain committed to assisting all passengers during this time,바카라 the airline posted on X, adding that fares on Air India flights from Srinagar to Mumbai and Delhi have been capped to ensure affordability.
Akasa Air also posted that customers who wish to cancel their bookings will be provided with a full refund at no additional charge for all flights departing between 23rd April 2025 and 30th April 2025 to and from Srinagar. Furthermore, customers will be able to make a first schedule change with no additional charge for travel within 7 days from their original date.
SpiceJet too extended travel support for those impacted by the recent tragic events.
