Harry Brook believes the strength of England's middle order can allow the opening batsman to play with freedom as they secured a T20I series victory over the West Indies.
The Windies managed 196-6 from their 20 overs, helped massively by a 31-run penultimate over in Bristol on Sunday.
However, the impressive hosts chased that tally down with nine balls to spare with Jos Buttler (47), Ben Duckett (30), captain Brook (34), Jacob Bethell (26), and Tom Banton (30 not out) all playing their part in a textbook chase.
England consequently lead 2-0 in the three-match series, which culminates in Southampton on Tuesday.
White-ball skipper Brook spoke to Sky Sports after the four-wicket win, saying: "We have a lot of depth. There are small boundaries here, we always felt they were under par by 30 runs.
"It gives us great confidence having Jacob Bethell, Tom Banton and Will Jacks at five, six and seven. The top order can go all out blazing."
It has been an excellent start to white-ball captaincy for Brook, who oversaw a 3-0 ODI series win over the same opponents.
Having now also gone two for two in the shorter format, Brook added: "It's a great start in the T20s from the boys. We had a lot of fun out there. They had a very good finish.Â
"We stuck to our plans through the middle really well. They didn't get away. We had a discussion before going out to bat that it was only a matter of a couple of big overs.Â
"We chased the score beautifully. It was a very good performance."
Windies skipper Shai Hope thinks his side paid the price for making too many dot balls.
He said: "I thought we were a few runs short, with the dimensions and the pitch being a decent one. I don't think we capitalised on the middle overs with the spin, but whatever we have on the board we have to defend it.
"I think we need to limit as many dot balls as we can, score off more deliveries, our dot percentage needs to fall. We've got to run it hard, keep that percentage down, as long as we do that we'll be a force to be reckoned with.
"We have to try and bounce back, win the game and finish the tour strong, setting the tone as a team."
