Gus Atkinson has been ruled out of England바카라™s upcoming ODI series against West Indies with a hamstring injury.
The 27-year-old sustained the issue during England바카라™s dominant Test victory over Zimbabwe, which was won inside three days by an innings and 45 runs.
Atkinson is the second seam bowler to withdraw from the series after Jofra Archer sustained a thumb injury while playing in the Indian Premier League.
England will not be replacing Atkinson for this series and he is expected to be fit ahead of the five-match Test series against India, which starts on 20 June.
New England white-ball captain Harry Brook is left with Brydon Carse, Saqib Mahmood, Jamie Overton, Matthew Potts, and Luke Wood as his other fast-bowling options.
The top eight teams in the ODI world rankings as of March 2027 will qualify for the World Cup in the same year.
With England and West Indies currently ranked eighth and ninth respectively, it is an important series for the new skipper.
Edgbaston hosts the first game on Thursday, with Sophia Gardens the venue for the second match three days later.
The final match takes place at The Oval on June 3.
