An already-eliminated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will look to end their IPL 2025 season with pride when they take on a rejuvenated Gujarat Titans (GT) on Thursday, May 22 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
Gujarat Titans have qualified for the playoffs whereas LSG will be exiting the tournament despite some top-notch performances from Mitchell Marsh amongst others.
GT will look to test their bench strength in this game whereas LSG will be playing for pride as we look into the battles that will shape the GT vs LSG clash.
Mohammed Siraj vs Mitchell Marsh
LSG opener Mitchell Marsh has scored 443 runs this season of the IPL at a strike rate of 157.09. Despite other batters failing around him, the Aussie all-rounder has done his bit for the team but on Thursday, faces a formidable Mohammed Siraj. The GT pacer has scalped 15 wickets and make use of the home conditions to better use against a frail LSG batting-order.

Rashid Khan vs Nicholas Pooran
Rashid Khan has a quiet IPL 2025 with only 8 wickets to his name but with the playoffs on the horizon, the Afghanistan spinner might want to rake in some confidence ahead of the crunch match. Up against him will be Nicholas Pooran, who has blitzed all the bowlers this season but could face an uphill battle against the Afghani maestro.
Shubman Gill vs Rishabh Pant
GT captain Shubman Gill and LSG skipper Rishabh Pant will be at the forefront on Thursday with both names in the mix for the Indian Test captaincy role for the England series. Gill has taken side to the playoffs whereas LSG under Pant's leadership, are exiting the IPL with the latter's batting too under the radar.
