Former India captain MS Dhoni has been inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame as part of the 2025 batch, announced ahead of the ICC World Test Championship Final at Lord바카라s. The legendary wicketkeeper-batter, who led India to unprecedented success across formats, joins an elite list of cricketing greats whose impact has transcended generations.

Dhoni's induction comes six years after his retirement from international cricket, capping a remarkable career marked by calm leadership, explosive batting, and unmatched tactical acumen. Over the course of 538 international appearances, Dhoni scored 17,266 runs and effected 829 dismissals, a testament to both his longevity and consistency. He is widely regarded as one of the finest finishers the game has seen.

"It is an honour to be named in the ICC Hall of Fame, which recognises the contributions of cricketers across generations and from all over the world. To have your name remembered alongside such all-time greats is a wonderful feeling. It is something that I will cherish forever," Dhoni said in a statement following the announcement.

MS Dhoni Legacy

The former skipper바카라s legacy includes leading India to the ICC Men바카라s T20 World Cup title in 2007, the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2011, and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013 바카라 making him the only captain in history to win all three global white-ball trophies.

Dhoni바카라s defining moment came during the 2011 World Cup final in Mumbai, when he promoted himself up the order and played a captain바카라s knock of 91*, finishing the game with a towering six that has since become part of Indian cricketing folklore.

Beyond white-ball glory, Dhoni also guided India to the top of the ICC Test rankings for the first time in 2009 and left behind a core group of players who would go on to dominate world cricket in the following decade.

Celebrated not just for his numbers but also for his unconventional yet effective style behind the stumps, Dhoni redefined the role of a wicketkeeper-batter in modern cricket. His quick hands, sharp reflexes, and innovative glove work set new benchmarks for keeping standards globally.

Class Of 2025

Joining Dhoni in the 2025 Hall of Fame class are two other modern-day greats 바카라 Australia바카라s Matthew Hayden, South Africa바카라s Hashim Amla, Graeme Smith, Daniel Vettori and Sana Mir.

ICC Chair Jay Shah welcomed the new members to the Hall of Fame at a gala event at Abbey Road Studios in London.

"Through the ICC Hall of Fame, we pay tribute to the finest players the game has seen, individuals whose remarkable careers have shaped cricket's legacy and inspired generations," Shah said.

바카라This year, we are privileged to induct seven truly outstanding individuals into this prestigious group. On behalf of the ICC, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to each of them and hope they cherish this well-deserved recognition as a defining moment in their cricketing journey.바카라
