The Proteas first posted an imposing 315 runs on the board in 50 overs, then dismissed the Lankans for just 239 in 42.5 overs. Chloe Tryon was the standout performer, essaying a 74-run knock off just 51 balls and then claiming a five-wicket haul (5/34) to deservedly be named the Player of the Match.
While the visitors will return home despite the win, ending the tri-series with one victory and three losses, Sri Lanka will face India in the final on May 11.
