This win, their first over the Windies in any format, also helped level the series 1-1 and inched ever closer to sealing a direct qualification spot for Women's ODI World Cup 2025 in India.

Bangladesh women's limited-overs tour of the West Indies 2025 started with a nine-wicket defeat in the first ODI. But Nigar Sultana & Co. turned the tables on their hosts with a commanding win in the second match.

Asked to set a target, again, the skipper played a defiant 120-ball knock to stitch the innings together. Her 120-ball knock for 68 runs helped Bangladesh post 184 all out in 48.5 overs, 14 runs fewer than the total they had scored in the first match.

For the hosts, Karishma Ramharack and Aaliyah Alleyne claimed four and three wickets, respectively.

Three early wickets including that of Windies captain Hayley Matthews inside the first 10 overs helped Bangladesh's cause. And the innings eventually wrapped up in 35 overs for 124 all out. Nahida Akter claimed three wickets while Marufa Akter, Rabeya Khan, and Fahima Khatun claimed two each.

New Zealand have completed their ICC Women's Championship 2022-2025 campaign with nine wins, 12 defeats and three no results in 24. Bangladesh have eight wins, 10 defeats, one tie, and four defeats. The West Indies, meanwhile, are ninth in the 10-team table with 16 points from seven wins, 14 defeats and two no results.

So far hosts India, defending champions Australia, England, South Africa, and Sri Lanka have qualified for the eight-team World Cup 2025, scheduled for August-September. One more team from the current Championship cycle, either New Zealand or Bangladesh, will join the five as direct qualifiers.

The bottom four teams, 7th through 10th, from the ICC Women's Championship and the two next best-ranked teams, the 11th and 12th, will play in a six-team Qualifier to decide the remaining two spots.
