Filmmaker Atlee received an honorary doctorate from Sathyabama University in Chennai on Saturday, June 14, evening. During his speech, he spoke about his upcoming film tentatively titled AA22 X A6, starring Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone. He also broke silence on the allegations that his films are 바카라˜copied바카라™. Here's what Atlee said.
Atlee addressed the perception that scenes and characters in his films are taken from other sources. He said, "Generally, there바카라™s a perception that the films I make are taken from here or there. But let me tell you about my life today and give an example you can connect with."
He gave a reference of Vijay바카라™s character Michael Rayappan, a gangster-turned-football coach in his 2019 film Bigil, which was inspired by Jeppiaar, the founder and chancellor of Sathyabama University.
"Today, when I got the doctorate and they played music from Mersal (2017), I believe I earned this only through honesty, only through love. I promise today that I will make this country proud," said the Jawan director.
The plagiarism allegations started when netizens found striking similarities between the posters of AA22 X A6 and Hollywood sci-fi film Dune, starring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya. They commented saying that the poster of Atlee's film has been copied from Dune.

While talking about his upcoming magnum opus, Atlee said, "Kalanidhi Maran sir (of Sun Pictures) is producing this film. It바카라™s one of the most expensive films to be made in our country."
He further said, "We will be using a lot of new technology to make it. I바카라™m dreaming big, and the budget has yet to be locked. The producer will decide the release date."
Recently, Deepika Padukone joined the upcoming project as the female lead opposite Allu Arjun. The film marks her first collaboration with the Pushpa actor and second film with Atlee, after Jawan. AA22 X A6 is also first-ever collaboration of Atlee and Allu Arjun.
