Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora has issued a strict directive prohibiting police personnel from making and sharing videos or social media reels while in uniform, calling the trend an abuse of the uniform, PTI reported.
The order, dated May 24, comes amid a surge in videos posted by police officers on platforms like Instagram and Facebook, often featuring themselves in full uniform, displaying ranks, badges, and, at times, showcasing the authority associated with the khaki.
In the circular, Arora emphasized the importance of maintaining the dignity of the police force and urged personnel to draw a clear line between their professional responsibilities and personal lives.
바카라It has been reported that in spite of the said instructions, a lot of police personnel have been found making and posting reels/videos on various social media platforms while wearing uniforms,바카라 the order stated.
The commissioner바카라s directive reinforces earlier guidelines that discouraged such practices, but rising incidents prompted the department to issue a renewed and more forceful warning. The order suggests that disciplinary action may be taken against violators going forward, PTI reported.
This move highlights the growing challenge faced by law enforcement agencies in regulating social media conduct among personnel, especially at a time when digital presence is becoming increasingly influential.
