In less than 24 hours after Pakistan launched a coordinated missile and drone attack targeting Jammu, sounds of blasts have been heard in the same region on Friday evening. Complete blackout in Jammu has been imposed while sirens blared as well. Officials also told PTI about a suspected drone attack on Srinagar airport while assuring that countermeasures have been activated.
"Intermittent sounds of blasts, probably heavy artillery, can now be heard from where I am", CM Omar Abdullah posted on X.

According to ANI, one Pakistani drone hit a residential area in Firozpur and injured a family. Commenting on the development, SSP Ferozepur, Bhupinder Singh Sidhu said, "We received information about 3 people being injured. They have burn injuries. Doctors will treat them. Most of the drones have been neutralised by the army."
Explosions could also be heard in Samba as India's air defence intercepted Pakistani drones, as per news agency ANI. Sounds of blasts could be heard in Poonch as well due to shelling from the Pakistani side. Pakistani drones were reportedly sighted in Pathankot sector as well.
According to news agency ANI, a complete blackout has been enforced in Udhampur of Jammu Division and Srinagar. Besides Jammu and Kashmir, complete blackouts have been imposed on Haryana Ambala and Panchkula as well.
A day before, Pakistan once again targeted India and launched a missile attack on Jammu on Thursday evening. Defence sources told PTI that eight missiles from Pakistan directed at Satwari (Jammu Airport), Samba, RS Pura and Arnia have been intercepted successfully.
Several high end Surface-to-Air-Missile (SAM) units were engaged as well near multiple locations including Jammu airport, Pathankot, Akhnoor and Samba. Officials told PTI that Pakistani troops resorted to shelling along LoC in Kupwara, Baramulla districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
A complete blackout was enforced in Jammu and sirens are being heard across the entire area, as per news agency ANI. Several rounds of heavy firing have also been reported in the border regions.

On Thursday, the Indian Air Force (IAF) foiled an aerial attack by Pakistan which came in retaliation to India's terror-base specific response 'Operation Sindoor'. According to the defence ministry, the attempts were neutralised by deploying the Integrated Counter UAS Grid and Air Defence systems.
As per the official statement, Pakistan attempted to strike multiple military targets across northern and western India including bases in Awantipora, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Ludhiana, and Bhuj.
