Maharashtra (Mumbai & Pune): Severe waterlogging has been reported after very heavy rainfall. Local train and metro services are running late, and some schools have declared a holiday. An orange alert is in effect.
Kerala: Life remains disrupted by continuous downpours. A red alert (extremely heavy rain) has been issued for Malappuram and Kozhikode, with an orange alert for six other districts.
Delhi-NCR: The region is expected to receive rain and thunderstorms. A yellow alert has been issued for the capital.
Gujarat: Heavy showers have hit Saurashtra and South Gujarat, prompting authorities to order evacuations from low-lying areas.
Other Affected States: Karnataka is facing landslides and flooding, while parts of Himachal Pradesh (Shimla) are on yellow alert for thunderstorms.
The IMD predicts more rain across these regions in the coming days and has advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel.
