PM Modi Holds Rally In RJD Stronghold Siwan, Focuses On Development Dialogue In Poll-Bound Bihar

These are regions where the INDIA alliance has a strong presence. Therefore, the development package announced in Siwan holds both strategic and symbolic value for the BJP and the NDA. So far in 2025, Modi has held four public rallies in Bihar.

Bihar is now fully in election mode following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's second major rally in the state within 20 days and after the recent "Sindoor Operation." Held in Siwan on June 20, this rally is considered significant in terms of development announcements. Earlier, on May 30, during a rally in Vikramganj (Shahabad region), Modi had inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various infrastructure projects related to electricity, roads, railways, and education worth nearly 49,000 crores.

In contrast, from the soil of Siwan, Modi announced and launched projects worth over 10,000 crore. The choice of venues for both rallies is politically telling. The BJP appears to be focusing on regions where it is relatively weak. Out of 22 assembly seats in Shahabad, the BJP holds just 2; similarly, in Siwan, it controls only 2 out of 8 seats.

These are regions where the INDIA alliance has a strong presence. Therefore, the development package announced in Siwan holds both strategic and symbolic value for the BJP and the NDA. So far in 2025, Modi has held four public rallies in Bihar.

Interestingly, Modi's speech in Siwan marked a shift in tone. Unlike in Vikramganj, where he opened his address by referencing the "Sindoor Operation," he made no mention of it in Siwan. Instead, his speech was fully focused on Bihar, emphasising development and future plans.

Siwan, considered a traditional stronghold of the RJD, is crucial for the BJP's electoral push. Modi's rally here is seen as a key step in the party's effort to expand its footprint in the region. This is reflected in the specific allocations made for Siwan in the development package.

During his address, Modi emphasised the impact of the announced projects, stating: "These initiatives will improve the lives of Bihar바카라s poor, backwards, extremely backwards, Dalit, and Mahadalit communities. India is on its way to becoming the world바카라s third-largest economic power바카라and Bihar will have a major role in this journey.바카라

He highlighted the achievements of the NDA government in Bihar over the past decade, including: 55,000 kilometres of rural roads built, 1.5 crore households connected with electricity, 1.5 crore people provided with piped water, and over 4 crore families given permanent housing.

Modi also took a sharp dig at the opposition, saying: "Bihar was looted by the lantern (RJD) and the claw (Congress). But under Nitish Kumar바카라s leadership, the NDA government has overcome many challenges and put Bihar on the path of development.바카라

He concluded with a strong appeal: "I am here to assure the people of Bihar that we바카라ve done a lot바카라and we will continue to do more. But Modi will not rest. I still have a lot more to do for Bihar.바카라
